Wings add Karman from Stars, Ingram from Oil Barons

The Weyburn Red Wings made two separate moves on June 3.

They acquired 2005-born defenceman Josh Karman from the Battlefords North Stars in a move that completed the deal that sent forward Elijah Anderson to the North Stars last season.

Weyburn also brought Keenan Ingram back to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, as the Kindersley Klippers dealt the big-shot power forward to the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Fort McMurray Oil Barons at last season’s trade deadline.

Karman, 18, has already played 105 Junior A games split between the AJHL and SJHL and posted 16 points in 56 games for the North Stars, mostly in a pair with veteran Alex Izyk.

Ingram, 19, scored 19 goals and 38 points in 32 games for the Klippers a year ago before his move west. He added seven points in 14 games for the Oil Barons.

Both Karman and Ingram hail from Calgary, AB.
