The Melville Millionaires are proud to announce the hiring of Pete Cockburn as the Director of Player Personnel and Scott Orchison as Assistant General Manager and Alberta Scout.

“Both Pete and Scott bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Mills and are both men that I have worked with the past. I trust them wholeheartedly and know they will do an outstanding job for the Millionaires. These additions make our team a lot stronger and I’m looking forward to working with both Pete and Scott again,” stated Head Coach and General Manager Doug Johnson.

Cockburn is no stranger to spending time in Saskatchewan rinks. He has over 10 years of WHL scouting experience and is currently working with the Swift Current Broncos. He has also spent many years coaching minor hockey with his sons. In the SJHL, Pete has spent the past five years working with the Nipawin Hawks. He’s married and has two adult children and two grandsons.

Orchison has an extensive background as well in the hockey world accumulating over 20 years of experience as a player and on the scouting ranks. He calls Fallis, Alberta home now after spending many years in BC, both playing and helping the Okanagan hockey schools. Scott also spent eight years with the Edmonton Oilers in many different capacities. Orchison spent four years as the Assistant General Manager of the Nipawin Hawks and last season was a scout for the Drumheller Dragons of the AJHL.
