Estevan Bruins forward Zach Burfoot has committed to the University of Dubuque of NCAA Division III, and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
Burfoot, 20, had two stints with the Bruins, and was a part of the 2022 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League championship winning Estevan club.
He rejoined the team mid-way through last season from Wisconsin of the North American Hockey League.
The slick, skilled right-winger posted 48 points in 64 games for the Bruins, and appeared in two contests at the 2022 Centennial Cup.
Burfoot is the son of another Estevan Bruins alumnus, Scott, who spent two seasons with the south Saskatchewan club between 1986 and 1988.
The University of Dubuque is the first NCAA hockey team in the State of Iowa.
